| My admiration level for Stuart Damon as an actor (and singer) was and is always very high based largely on how deceptively difficult it is to effectively play a role such as Prince Charming in CINDERELLA. While you're watching the Warren-Damon version, it might not seem like he's doing anything exceptional, but then you realize how insufferable and/or insipid the character might seem with a lesser actor in the role. Although the original version of CINDERELLA with Julie Andrews and Jon Cypher has a very different script, it's interesting to compare Cypher's performance with Damon's, and if you do, I think you'll see what I mean. |
