There is another controversy, because some would argue that it is the only non-diagonal street in Manhattan.
Not sure what you mean here. Although Broadway of course does not run on a strict diagonal line through Manhatan, it roughly runs on a diagonal, certainly more than any of the streets in the grid. I think it would be more accurate to say that Broadway is the only (or one of the few) non HORIZONTAL streets in Manhattan, wouldn't it? |
