Thank you! I should have realized that it said LOVE and not LORNE!
I googled the show, and it looks like at some point during that original run with Nathan Lane and Judy Kaye, it was simply called, "Love." The New York Times review is under that name, and there's a Showbill on Ebay with a scan of the title page that calls it "Love." I assume the title changed to "What about Luv?" before it closed or iobdb would list it otherwise. Maybe a last-ditch effort to save the show by linking it more closely to "Luv," the source material? |
