The MFA Acting Program at Brown University/Trinity Rep is one of the best; they turn out fantastic actors, particularly known for classical training. A couple years ago it was announced that that program (and the Directing MFA as well) would become tuition-free, as part of an effort to ensure increased diversity. But I don't know where the money for that came from.
The MFA program at the National Theatre Conservatory (Denver Center) also gave all the students a full-ride in its last seasons--but that may be one reason the whole program, sadly, ended up being discontinued. |
