Actually, regarding the women, I don't think we know anything about any of their sexualities, really. We know that Cassie and Kristine are/have been in relationships with men, but they never actually say that they're straight, right? For all we know, Cassie has been with women exclusively since breaking up with Zach.
Can we assume anything? I think, in 1975, we were meant to assume that all the women are straight and cis-gendered, even though none of them ever state that. But that was a different time. Now, we know that you can't make assumptions about anyone and that sexuality and gender are a spectrum. So, I don't think we know anything at all here, except for the characters who actually make statements about how they identify. And, even there, you have to assume that each character is telling the truth about everything they say.
I'm not really suggesting that either Paul or Greg is lying, but it wouldn't surprise me if, of all the characters we meet in ACL, all of them aren't telling the 100% truth all the time. |
