| For me, the double whammy includes the 2nd tweet she made, where she tried to express sympathy for survivors of sexual assault. It seemed to me to be such a carefully manicured, clinical statement that it seemed devoid of any true emotion - boilerplate as opposed to true sympathy. Whereas her initial tweet about cosby's release seemed very excited and heartfelt. So it made it doubly clear where her true feelings are, and it simply added to the hurtfulness of the first statement. Jere - even though I understand the argument you're making, and might normally agree about it, I feel that I just can't give rashad the benefit of the doubt in this case. She indeed may not be able to comprehend who the real cosby is, but neither does she seem to have any sort of understanding about victims of assault regardless. |
