The Trump supporter analogy makes sense to me in this case.

I think there are Trump supporters who continue supporting him in the face of all evidence simply because that to not would be an admission that they were not only wrong, but ALWAYS wrong. And that other people, who told them over and over how wrong they were, were actually right all that time. That's a tough pill to swallow for a lot of people. Their pride blinds them to everything else. It's an interesting contrast to Hillary Clinton supporters, who, I have a sense, would, if ever any actual hard evidence emerged that she was actually guilty of something, drop her like a hot potato.

Rashad probably doesn't want to face her own culpability(again, assuming that she either knew or heard rumors and ignored them) in Cosby's crimes, because what does that mean for her as a person going forward. And aside from her as a person, her entire career since the 1980's has been built on the foundation of THE COSBY SHOW. Had that show not happened, it's unlikely that she'd have built the career and the resume that she currently has. If that COSBY SHOW experience is now tainted, what does that mean for the rest of her career? Is every single thing that she's done since also tainted?
