Phylicia Rashad isn't "brushing off sexual assault." She thinks that, in this case, it never happened. She's guilty of naivety, but I'm not sure what else.
Is she wrong? Yeah, very much so. Bill Cosby is an abomination. But I don't think a misguided attempt to speak out for an old friend should result in a loss of career.
