We, the audience. are very lucky. I can't think of any other performer who has been a lead in nearly as many Broadway shows over the past 3 decades. He has performed in a Broadway show every year from 1990 except for 1998, 1999, 2012 and 2020. Nineteen different shows. That's pretty incredible.
And in 2012, he was in The Iceman Cometh at the Goodman in Chicago.
(I will admit the statistic about the years is a bit skewed because he appeared in several shows that started in the fall and ran into January of the following year, but it's still amazing.)
