I think a "lady of honor" would be able to concede that "the allegations against him do not accord with the man I know and admire... but while I never witnessed any improper behavior, events may have transpired that I did not witness" (or some such).
Yes. Very similar situation to those who defend people like Garth Drabinsky, Scott Rudin, et al. because "he always treated ME well and I personally never saw any evidence of wrongdoing." Assuming that the evidence of wrongdoing is so strong as to be undeniable, isn't that sort of statement the height of self interest? |
