There is conflicting information on Wikipedia and Amazon about the various running times of the different releases of 1776. Over the years I have found both sources to be unreliable.
Supposedly the Pioneer laserdisc had the longest running time of any release at 177 minutes. According to comments on Amazon, the Blu-Ray release has restored various cuts to the "Piddle, Twiddle" and "Lees of Virginia" numbers, but apparently some very brief bits from book scenes are still missing. |
