| Moderna and pfizer are 95% effective—so there is that 5% breakthrough. And the June stats was .8% death rate for vaccinated—so of the 10,000 that died in june in US—around 80 were vaccinated (I can’t find a breakdown of j&j vs M/P or if both shots taken or underlying health issue—so that 80 deaths might be much smaller for certain group of vaccinated). But big brother didn’t shut down—it just pulled the positive person. I’m surprised London shut down production instead of pulling that person out for a week and seeing if it actually spread to others. I’d hate to see broadway shut down if one person in cast or crew tested positive. If so, don’t even start up. The US is doing really well but most of the rest of world is in bad shape and won’t improve in the next year. There’s 8 billion people in the world, I doubt there will be 1 billion vaccinated by December. And we might be looking for booster shots when most of the world is unvaccinated. People will be testing positive for years in all sectors of the country. | |
