| I thought the same thing about "Those Lips, Those Eyes." But it was released in the summer of 1980, which means it was probably shot in 1979, long before Little Johnny Jones was onstage in Connecticut. It's a puzzlement. Regarding Cassidy, he was, sadly, a faded star by 1982, and Osmond was very much a TV personality at the time. If the show was ever going to work, it would have needed a true musical theatre triple threat and it's hard to think of someone who would have fit the bill at that exact moment. A younger Joel Grey comes to mind, for the obvious reasons, but not by the 1980s. |
