Uh, yes. What can I say? Agreed.
I only wonder...since it's an historical show that elsewhere seems so carefully researched ... was Abigail known for exaggerating illnesses in her correspondence? I wonder what the contemporary view of these illnesses were?
But that doesn't excuse the lyrics given the absence of any clarification of such matters in the show itself.
Ah, well. (I hope the kids got better!) |
