I think there has to be a “new normal” that is not based on 2019. Covid is here to stay for many years. There can’t be a knee jerk reaction to shut down for a few cases even among vaccinated. There has to be a risk analysis and also a comfort zone of workers. Did most of the crew want to go on hiatus? Probably not. As a post below stated that it is a government mandate to shut down, but that is changing weekly or monthly. Hopefully broadway and tour cities will realize that there will be positive tests even if all is vaccinated (and I think it should be required—I think it is a disgrace for cdc to make the rule that it isn’t require for cruises—is the government going to reimburse the cruise line when an outbreak occurs—unlikely).
