It's been confirmed today that from 16 August fully vaccinated people will no longer have to isolate after close contact with an infected person. These close contacts will still be advised to take a PCR test as soon as possible (though this isn't mandatory) and if they are positive they will have to isolate whether they've been vaccinated or not. I'm guessing the 16 August because by then a very high percentage of UK adults will have been fully vaccinated.
I'm sure that productions will want close contacts to take the tests and, therefore, there may be the odd cancelled performance while test results are processed. However it should mean that the 10 day block cancellations are no longer required (unless of course a critical mass of the cast/crew/team test positive) |
