I was interested until I realized the cast has no diversity. I am more concerned that there is no diversity in the audience but never any discussion of this.

"I was interested until I realized the cast has no diversity. I am more concerned that there is no diversity in the audience but never any discussion of this." Your post reads like classic trolling, from the double-negatives and other questionable grammar, so perhaps I shouldn't give it more response or respect than it's due – but the website description of the production reads. "Set in South Harlem, amidst a vibrant and eclectic community of West African immigrants." So I'm not sure what diversity you're talking about. It's certainly a diverse cast of diverse Blacks and African-Americans. But if you in fsct want a racially diverse company in a cast of characters made up entirely of West African immigrants, my suspicion is that this isn't the production – or, quite possibly, the right planet – for you.

Yes ???? As an English teacher I find your comment that I used double negatives fallacious. As for your comment about diverse black actors, in this day and age African Americans would find a play with a cast of diverse Caucasians very offensive.

| ... you are pledging to avoid any production without Caucasians? So, for instance, the upcoming CollaborAzian production of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, and productions Pacific Overtures? August Wilson revivals? | |

He used a clear double-negative, then claimed to be an English teacher who was horrified at the idea he could ever possibly use a double negative. To say nothing of his what-aboutism and false equivalency between his own complaints about lack of diversity in a cast of Black actors playing West African immigrants, and his hypothetical complaints that Black actors would think that an all-white cast in some unnamed fictional show would automatically not be diverse enough to satisfy them. Some people, I swear… but it takes all kinds.
