| For me this issue has become WHY can't you just let it go? She read the wrong winner (not her fault) at the Oscars years ago and you're simply hectoring her about it, i,e, she's "complicit." What are you, a district attorney? Faye Dunaway was apparently a tough cookie who turned in a number of flawless performances (Bonnie, Chinatown, Network, Streetcar on stage etc). She's quite old now and still wants to work. Why work so hard to mock her? Would you do so with an older actor (Harrison Ford, Michael Douglas) who continues to make films? There's a fair amount of misogyny and ageism on this board, witness the catty remarks below about Carroll Baker. I say cut her a break and give Ms. Dunaway a rest. |

| Jax, you are (offensively) reading a lot of content into my remarks -- including misogyny -- that is simply not there. I'm sure I would be way more forgiving of Dunaway for her part in the Oscars debacle if that were an isolated incident, but it most decidedly was not. And if you don't know what I'm referring to, I invite you to spend some time Googling about her, specifically about her behavior during TEA AT FIVE. | |

| I'm sure Dunaway's performances weren't "flawless." Whose are? But more to the point, she has made herself a reputation for being impossible to work with. She clearly does NOT want to work, or she would treat her colleagues accordingly. She's not worth defending. |
