Dunaway and Beatty probably should have worn their glasses but being big movie stars of a certain age and not having had any attention for quite a few years, they weren't, perhaps, as comfortable as they could have been. "If she had been more together". She's an old lady desperately clinging to the spotlight. It probably took her 4 hours to get dressed, coiffed and made up. She waited hours for her one moment in the spotlight. She did not cause the mistake. If anyone should have spoken up it was Beatty. blame her for throwing salads and overacting and shrieking at assistants but don't pin any part of the Oscar mess on her. The PriceWaterhouse people fell down on the job. I was amazed that you had taken back your comments about Dunaway but I should have waited. You always have the last word (even when you have been proven wrong. I await your last word. |
