Hi all,

Can anyone give an idea of what to expect at MWOW in Central Park? Tips on how to approach the experience ? The calibre of the show?

Thank you,

Vivian

I don’t think it’s called Merry Wives of Windsor

I had to look it up. I guess it was changed for copyright reasons. The Shakespeare’s heirs are very litigious 😜

MERRY WIVES is a lively, generous-sprited production. The cast is good fun, and the various African accents sit nicely on Shakespeare's language. Fenton is played by a woman, so the play ends, sweetly and touchingly, with a gay marriage. I saw the first preview, and there are some pacing and staging issues. It's 100 minutes with no intermission. Definitely recommended.
