| MERRY WIVES is a lively, generous-sprited production. The cast is good fun, and the various African accents sit nicely on Shakespeare's language. Fenton is played by a woman, so the play ends, sweetly and touchingly, with a gay marriage. I saw the first preview, and there are some pacing and staging issues. It's 100 minutes with no intermission. Definitely recommended. | |
