There are so many anxieties embedded in this piece of hype, some of them on the surface, other completely submerged.
Whatever happens to nyc culture in the following year it will be a changed culture and it would be nice if critics kept their eyes and ears attuned to how it is changing rather than how it is rebounding to what it was.
This all might be influenced by the news that I received two days ago from a friend in SF who told me that two of his friends who double-vaccinated just tested positive for covid with most likely the Delta variant. |
