| @ the Oscars for First Reformed, and now the Emmys for The Good Lord Bird, it's hard to muster too much enthusiasm. | |

| I love Ethan, but I mustered up far less enthusiasm for the two projects you mention than I did for the Oscars and the Emmys. And I take all acting awards with a grain of salt. | |

| The two Emmy "snubs" I regret are his performance and It's a Sin. He was, however, just nominated for a Television Critics Association Award. |

| MockingbirdGirl, you were right. Hawke's a national treasure. But he'll be fine; and hopefully keep working and working. |

| And here is why: Liza Minnelli. Not nominated for: "Arrested Development" "A Time to Live" "Parallel Lives" "The West Side Waltz" "Law and Order: Criminal intent" Plus, Sam Waterston, S. Epatha Merkerson and Jerry Orbach never won an Emmy for "Law and Order". So, FU, Emmys. Who can take them seriously? |

| She also wasn't nominated for the "Dangerous Christmas of Red Riding Hood" -- her Maxie Fords alone, as well as her interplay with Cyril Ritchard deserved an Emmy nod. Jingle-a-ling, indeed! | |

| It's OK, it was close enough. Cyril should have also been recognized for his sly performance. | |
