Thanks for the correction, Alan. I was just surprised to learn Preminger had 12 Broadway credits. I usually think of his movie work.
As a 3-time Oscar-nominee, he did ''Laura,'' ''Anatomy of a Murder'' and ''The Cardinal,'' plus ''Porgy & Bess'' and ''Carmen Jones.''
However, part of me will always remember Preminger most as one of the Mr. Freezes from the campy ''Batman'' TV series in the '60s. |
