THE RINK remains one of my most treasured Broadway outings. I saw it three times.

I was of course completely aware of the talent involved, and I was more than gratified. To invite immediate scorn, I believe Liza deserved the Tony over Chita.

I have always believed that. And after seeing Stockard Channing in Liza's role, well, there you go.

Nothing against Stockard. But she could not get NEAR "All The Children In A Row."

The ushers warned us to be kind.

The audience was not.

Dead silence.............

It would be hard to duplicate the star power of the original (although I guess, not impossible). Also, that set was a work of art in itself. It should have won the Tony.
