| A few years ago (ok, more than a few years ago I saw an excellent production of TMM at Asolo Rep in Sarasota, Fl, choreographed by Jeff Calhoune (Newsies) and starring Noah Racey as an even more dancing Harold Hill than we are used to. At some point, those that recognize the show as one of the more perfectly put together musicals are going to have to accept that everyone playing the title role can not attempt to replicate Robert Preston and yet the musical still works. |
