because they don't seem to be in a hurry to be getting anywhere! I wouldn't want to be a patient in one of those things. Also, in Manhattan, we don't have too many emergency helicopters on a regular basis because ambulances make transport quick enough.

NYPD's helicopters seem to get pretty constant use, emergencies or not. They thunder back and forth over my house in Brooklyn several times a day, at least. (Their base is at Floyd Bennett Field, so I'm on their way to pretty much anywhere.)
