When I wrote ‘no good reason,” I meant that I don’t see how this can stop the spread of disease since scanning the barcode on a paper ticket or a print at home ticket involves as little direct contact as scanning it on a phone and there is less from a technology point of view that can go wrong. Not truly a crisis for me, but an inconvenience. I find your response a little hostile. As for the subway I can’t use Omni even if I wanted to because the senior half fare option exists only on metro card.
I also wonder if even fewer people will turn off their phones once they’re inside the theater since they’ll have to have it on for entry. |
