| The bonkers movie musical, "Annette," which was just at Cannes and opens in a couple weeks, features Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard as a comedian and opera singer whose child is a (great) puppet. It's practically sung-through and its credits include thanks to a misspelled Edgar Allan Poe and to Stephen Sondheim (although, for my money, the repetitive, narrating-our-lives songs would horrify Sondheim). |
