Post-July 4th spikes have occurred in about half of the states in US, and they tend to be the states with low vaccination rates. New York City and State are on the lower end of new cases in the past 4 weeks, and we appear to have made it through Pride relatively unscathed as well. Data on outdoor transmission also indicates that it is incredibly rare. You should fold some of these facts into your argument.
