Undoubtedly! And now that people are scanning from their phones, it takes even longer!
Of course NYC and London theatres have a space problem as well. Lobbies that are too small and lounges too far downstairs for audiences- many of them older- to congregate.
And when you are dealing with a street like West 44th, you've got four or more theatres per block with a combined audience of potentially 6000-8000 people per performance.
The vibe in rural theatres is blissful. Glimmerglass, Williamstown, the summer theatres: always chill and relaxing! |
