| Interesting article. I think it is possible that the link is based on a point deep in the article, herd immunity. And while India's immunity is largely based on the horrific nightmare of death and serious illness, much of the immunity in the UK (and in the non-idiot parts of the US) is based on high vax rates. New York has a lot of both forms of immunity whereas states that had a low incidence of first and second wave infections but also high vax rates are doing well. And then there is Florida (e.g.) with its horrific case counts that apparently thinks it can reach herd immunity the hard (i.e., stupid and immoral) way. |
