when I used expressions like "random" and "at least" I did not think I was conveying a certainty. What I meant was simply that in my experience some not-insignificant number of shows would require earlier call times if the house was to open at 45 or 60 minutes prior to curtain. I don't think that's a controversial notion. Maybe you misinterpreted what I meant. Or maybe you don't think that's right.

ETA: I saw your other response. There is no way you can say that without knowing what else is involved in a show. If stage management requires the stage before half hour, and there is IATSE work that can't be done until the stage is cleared, that standard time is going to be inadequate, unless you eliminate all margins for error. I'm not sure what point your are making exactly since as I say above that seems non-controversial to me.
