| I saw Funny Girl, pre broadway in Boston. on Wednesday January 29, 1964 matinee. I was in Junior High School and normally went almost every Saturday matinee to whatever was playing, usually a tryout musical. My Bar Mitzvah was for the Saturday I would have attended, February 1, so my parents let me go on the Wednesday. I sat in the front of what was then called the second balcony of the Shubert Theater, price of the ticket $3.30. I have no idea what orchestra tickets cost because they were beyond my budget. Maybe that gives you something to work with, price wise. |
