In for a penny, in for a pound, though, and I confess it is nice to speak freely for once, so here goes: I'm not sure I understand your question ;)
If I understand you correctly, it's the hour before half that matters. That hour is the model that has worked for my entire career. It's rarely needed, but when it's needed, it's critical. The thing is, if an early entry becomes standard, and given Covid, IATSE will probably give in - and that will lead to a rare 15 to 30 minute start.
