As I recall, there's no mention of Mr. Brice. Therefore, an older man has special appeal to Fanny because he's a de facto father figure. And how about Robert Creighton (Cagney) as Eddie? Frank Langella as Ziegfeld? Klea Blackhurst as Mrs. Brice?
