As I recall, there's no mention of Mr. Brice. Therefore, an older man has special appeal to Fanny because he's a de facto father figure.
I know that the show is not a biography, but in real life, Arnstein was not quite 2 years older than Brice. Why make him a de facto father figure out of the blue? |
