| Jule Styne did the same thing a few times. He took the song "I'm in Pursuit of Happiness" from Ruggles of Red Gap and used it again in Gypsy as "You'll Never Get Away from Me" with new lyrics by Sondheim. He also took "Call Me Savage" from Fade Out -- Fade In and used it Hallelujah, Baby! as "Witches' Brew" with new lyrics by Comden and Green. |
