I saw The Beautiful Game the summer of 2001, and thought the song was ravishing in context. Its pop sensibilities fit the piece more than than Phantom, at least to my ears. But hasn't it been cut from that show? I haven't kept up. (The BG score landed for me, and I bought the CD in Healthrow, just before my flight).
UPDATE: Yes, when The Beautiful Game became The Boys in the Photograph (what a title!), "Our Kind of Love" bit the dust. |
