| But...still....as a fresh thing with that glorious Loewe score, the wit of Jourdain’s « Gigi », and the frissons of Leslie Caron’s beauty, Gingold’s ebullience, Lerner’s intelligence, Chevalier himself, and the aesthetuc of Minnelli.....I think perhaps we take all that too much for granted. It may be not equal to « Vertigo », but they are so very different. |
