| My Amazon Prime has been recommending a movie called DIVOS! for weeks now, and I finally gave in and watched last night. It’s free if you have a Prime account. It’s got a ton of Broadway references (starting with an opening that pays homage to Fiddler on the Roof). It’s a movie about a school musical, but it’s not a musical itself—more like a dark comedy. I thought it would be kind of stereotypical because it has a bunch of gay characters, but it’s actually really clever. I’d never heard of it before, and it doesn’t seem to have anybody too famous except for Hairspray Tony-winner Marissa Jaret Winokur. Anyone else see it and know if the two lead guys are Broadway actors or something? They were both really good. |
