Just a few random thoughts:
--Nice to see BIPOC performers.
--Anyone playing a drinking game while watching? If I were taking a drink anytime they play any part of "Defying Gravity" I'd probably be unconscious by now.
--Alex Newell was fantastic singing "Popular" - easily my favorite performance so far. Also, liked the musical arrangement with four pianos.
--There was a quick montage of alternate arrangements of the songs by Stephen Schwartz and I feel certain I saw Ashley Park's name and one or more others over the clip of five men singing and then the title card changed. Did anyone see what that was?

''Nice to see BIPOC performers.''

Kudos to the legendary Baayork Lee on directing this ''Wicked'' showcase that included so many wonderful performers of color.

Such as Amber Riley, Isaac Powell, Ariana DeBose, Stephanie Hsu, Gabrielle Ruiz, Alex Newell, Rita Moreno, Cynthia Erivo, etc.

Plus, it was great to see its original stars, Kristin and Idina, reunited ''For Good,'' and sounding better than ever and so full of feeling.

''There was a quick montage of alternate arrangements of the songs by Stephen Schwartz and I feel certain I saw Ashley Park's name and one or more others over the clip of five men singing and then the title card changed. Did anyone see what that was?''

There were many Broadway performers in that montage of ''Out of Oz'' videos. Among them: Aaron Tveit, Rachel Tucker, Kara Lindsay, Casey Cott, etc. I don't recall seeing Ashley Park, but did you mean Ashley Parker Angel (from O-Town)? There was a split-second glimpse of Angel doing a boy-band version of ''What Is This Feeling?'' with Kyle Dean Massey, Jeff Heimbrock, Daniel Quadrino and Jeremy Thompson.

As I mentioned, I caught just a quick glimpse of the text and I thought the name I saw was "Ashley Park" but your suggestion makes much more sense.

And forgive me if someone else posted about it and I didn't catch it, but Kristin and Idina singing "For Good" was from a previous concert - around five years ago, I think. (You can find footage of it on YouTube.) I was a little surprised that they reused that footage - especially if it was going to be the final song.

I haven't watched the whole thing but do have it recorded. Ashley Parker Angel is listed in the credits as being part of that mash-up.

I wondered about that "For Good" recording because they looked a little different in that clip than they did during the "hosting" parts, and the hosting segments were obviously recorded separately. Stephen Schwartz was listed as an executive producer, so maybe he wanted it packaged with this special to get it out there more broadly.

Correction: Casey Cott hasn't been in a Broadway show ... yet

His older brother, Corey Cott, however, has: ''Newsies,'' ''Bandstand.'' ... But Casey and Corey sang a ''Wicked'' duet for Schwartz's 70th birthday.

Arrrgh, like being offered little appetizers, but not given the full dinner. I devoutly hope that the DVD will have the full versions of these numbers, especially those with Ashford and Tveit.

Meantime, Laura, I believe you can Google ''Out of Oz studio sessions'' and find them on YouTube.'' Here's one of my favorites ...

Ooh, fun! Thanks, Wayman! I never think to search for things like this. My research tends more in the direction of print.
