I've heard from a few people that saw these monologues and they all are in agreement with you.
There comes a time when you just say no, I'm not going to the Atlantic Stages even if I am a subscriber. To have shows like this will leave audiences at home and believe me that's what going to happen. You can always turn off the tv set, but it's hard to climb over eight people in a row to escape a theatre.
