Do you generally dislike monologues?

Just wondering if you don’t generally consider a show with multiple monologues to be a play or if you don’t like to see then performed? I like the idea of multiple monologues that work together to tell a story from different perspectives for example. And the intimacy of focusing on one actor commanding the stage.
