in 1989 at what was the NY State Theater. The performed the great number "How Could You Believe Me When I Said I Loved You When You Know I've Been a Liar All My Life?" Jane's mic might have been off kilter a bit, as her voice didn't come across that well for some of the number, but her dancing was out of this world! Host Douglas Fairbanks Jr. quipped after the number that Jane Powell must have a portrait hidden away someone in a closed off room (a la Dorian Gray); she was about 60 at the time and still dancing great. That was a wonderful concert, with Julie Andrews doing a special medley of her Lerner & Loewe songs, and Sally Ann Howes especially memorable doing a beautiful "Heather on the Hill", among many other stars.
