''Hamilton'' beat out 5 other specials, including ''David Byrne's American Utopia.'' (Wonder why Lin-Manuel Miranda couldn't be there.)

Still, its Emmy-nominated actors shared the win onstage, including Renee Elise Goldsberry, Leslie Odom Jr., Jonathan Groff, Phililipa Soo ...

Elsewhere, London's Hannah Waddingham won Supporting Actress in a Comedy for Apple TV+'s ''Ted Lasso.''

When this 3-time Olivier Award nominee accepted her Emmy, she urged Hollywood to hire more West End performers.

Later, Debbie Allen got a Governors Award from the Emmys, and I could swear her intro called her a ''Tony recipient.''

Allen was Tony-nominated for ''West Side Story'' (1980) and ''Sweet Charity'' (1986), but did she ever receive one?
