I work at MTC and sub-ushered both shows on Saturday; it's about what you would expect; Santiago-Hudson loses himself in some characters better than others.
See it at night if you can; the matinee crowd was subdued and consequently Santiago-Hudson's performance was that much more sedate. The audience Saturday night was right there with him and he took and gave from the audience in kind, giving
a much more riveting performance.
