| I don't think "The Me Nobody Knows" is rightly classified as a black musical, perhaps maybe a rock musical; it is, if I recall, about the inner city and there was a diverse cast of characters including many of whom were black. I saw it in a community theater production years ago, and I recall it had a very enjoyable score. But I don't think it was written by African-Americans. I remember "Dream Babies" was one of the songs, so the moniker of one of the posters here immediately brought that to mind. |
