But reviewers aren't required to read books that movies are based on, are they?
It's been mentioned, but for most reviewers, they're writing for a target audience that has not seen and will not be seeing the stage musical. So, for them, it doesn't matter.
But it's great that some are addressing it, for the smaller audience who wants to know how it compares. |
