This has very little to do with your post and points, but here’s some film footage of Ms. Merman in the original production of AGYG. There’s no sound (which is almost blasphemy when discussing a Merman vehicle), but it’s a terrific and precious glimpse into the production, Merman, and what Broadway was like way back then.
