Maybe I am missing something here but, actually, the director is not an executive and not in the line of direct communication. The next step would be the company manager, then the general manager, and then the producer. And of course there is also the union. This is neither here nor there as I assume the true culprits will become clear in due course. To say that this is troubling is an understatement.
